Assalamualaikum, all!

Wow! Dah 2 minggu tak memblog. Terasa rindu la pulak.

After about a month of 'working' and designing piping, hose-reel, co2 suppression systems, i finally had a chance to escape! So i went to KL for a shooping spree with my family! My heart was literally beating with excitement! It's gonna be fun! (or so, i thought!).

However, i was quick to be taught a lesson: There are three conditions when shopping is not suggested:
1) When the Malaysia's annual Mega Sale is ending.
2) During public holidays.
3) During family vacation.

Mix all those together, and what I ended up with was frustration (shopping-wise). Biasalahkan time cuti, U'd expect zillions people to 'attack' the gigantic shopping malls. I prepared myself for this, but whoa! Reality shocked me even harder! RaMAINYE manusia kat KL ni! The malls were packed with people trying to experience the last few days of the mega sale. As a gurl who grew up in Kuching and studied in Christchurch where kesesakan manusia hanya berlaku ketika ada sambutan merdeka (Kch) atau pun bila ada tayangan bunga api sempena Guy Fawkes day (chch), I was terribly uncomfortable. Owh, did I mention that i was claustrophobic too? Shopping couldnt have been even more nerve-wrecking. Sigh!

The Q is: Did I buy a lot? Well, here's a list.
1) A pair of heels
2) A simple, SEED top (which i thought cost Rm25 after discount but turned out to cost RM45 after discount! Mahal nyer!)
3) A pair of black pants (which i gave to Kak Tika, coz tak muat... Hahaha! LAIN KALI KALAU BELI SELUAR KENA TRY DULU!!!!!!!!!!!!Erm, this is shopping rule no. 2. Rule no 1 is of course - to shop, u have to have MONEY $$$)
4) A beautiful kaftan top (never mind d fact that it's a size bigger. Credit to my sis who pointed it out to me. What's more is that it was hung in the 50% discount section! Tee hee!)
5) Two more tops (cheap ones...FOS maa...)
6) Skincare products - facial foams, shower gel, toner etc. Kena beli di sini, Kat Nz mahal okey?
7) 4 helai tudung - I dont remember headscarves being very expensive... I beli yg murah, sudeyh...

Hah, itu saje. To guys that may be a lot, but any gurl can tell you that the list above is an extremely short one. In fact, i didnt spend ALL of my money, to my amazement...I guess i'll use the $$$ for car petrol...

Pergi cuti2 dgn family is just that. Dont expect to do much shopping during family vacation because everyone wants to go everywhere. Here is an example:
Bapak: Siney maok pergi? (mana mau pergi?)
Siddiq: I want to go to KLCC to buy a belt and glasses...
No-N: No way, pg O-U jak. Kak N maok beli baju.
Me: Oi! Kakipah maok pergi Midvalley. O-U besar gilak..sik thn nyawa kakipah berjalan (mcmlah midvalley tak besar....)
Mak: Mak maok pegi Mydin, meli baju Sawi gemok tok...
Musawi: MAK!!!!!!!

Kesipulannya, kami pergi ke semua tempat2 itu, but dlm masa yg sgt singkat sahaja. In both Midvalley & KLCC, i only got to terokai one quarter of the ground floor!!! URGH! In O-U, I only got to pusing2 in the old wing. Owh, well...What to do? Cant be selfish, can I? Terpaksalah ikut suara majority maa...

So the lesson is this: Family vacation is family vacation. If I want to do any shopping, then I should travel alone. so there.

I shouldnt complain too much. I did have fun!

Herm, tmrw is my birthday. So early in the year, huh? I thank Allah that I get to live up to this day. But I cant believe i'm getting old! huhuhuhuhu! Yet i am none the wiser than i was last year or the year before. EErk! Ye ke? I dont even feel like celebrating...geez, before I know it, I'm celebrating my 30th birthday and I'd be the same person in the same state as now. Gosh, that'd be very pitiful!

My besfren Tuty is engaged so is preparing mentally, physically & financially for her wedding. While my other besfren Yonn is getting engaged soon. Wowow! Truth be told, I just cant quite swallow those facts yet. I mean, I've known Tuty since 13, when hypothenus formula was considered hard as hell & i was still a hardcore fan of KRU (awas gerak langlah mu owh, owh~!) Yonn and I used to literally run to the Dewan Makan 10 minutes before class ended just so we are the first in line to eat. I remember Yonn saying this; "neng, kelak ko nemankan aku rah Rumah Orang Tua k, aku dpt rasakan aku sikkan nikah bah.." Hahahhaha! Nyalah ya Yonn! Gosh, our friendship has come a long, long way...

Woaha! Hold that thought just yet! Dont think that I wanna get engaged or married too.... THAT IS NOT THE CASE AT ALL. But what I'm trying to point out is that how my frens have changed, how I have changed. Our life changes as we get old. It's understandable when sometimes people wish that they could return back to the high school years, when life was simple. In face of reality, i cant escape but to take on the changes bring to my life. And THAT is scary as hell!!! Before i know it, Tuty would call me up to give the good news that she's pregnant! Wowowowoowowowow!

Hey, i think i should stop blabbing coz this entry is lengthy enuff. (read between the lines : I ran out of topics already =p)
